Last night, as I walked the dogs pre-bedtime I looked at the fabulously clear skies, the myriad of stars, and the gorgeous milky way, and I was minded to ask the question ” what places us in this vast cosmos?”
I have often wondered this as I have looked at the beauty in clear skies in many parts of the world. Now when I think this way it has a more poignant baseline. The diagnosis and what it actually means to me changes everything. Time is no longer an open ended concept. Time now is precious. Every second, every minute, every hour, every day.
Now when I am considering the question “what is it all about?” ….. “What is the meaning of life?” ….. “Why are we here, and how will we measure our lives when the end comes?” I pause and try to look inwards. Maybe finding some sort of answer to these questions will help make the decisions I need to make.
In keeping with my love for philosophy and quotes I have compiled a few images which seek to answer this question for me. I will be coming back to this theme regularly as things progress for me, but for now let’s have a smile.
……….. whatever the meaning of life may be, we can always smile about it and feel better.
